Every year, the holidays seem so busy and fly by in a flash. It is important in our family to always think of those less fortunate over the holidays and as a family do a little charity work. Some years as a family we man the kettle for the Salvation Army, this year, since we literally worked right up to Christmas Eve, Dan and our 4 year old daughter took the morning off and went over to visit the folks at the local retirement home. This has become a tradition in our family now for 2 years where from time to time, we go over, provide some classic music from yesteryear and visit with our friends.
Our daughter came home on Christmas Eve and told me all about her new friends and what was going on in the lives of her old ones. She even had a treat bag of goodies waiting for her from a group of ladies who have taken a fancy to her.
Here is the card that they sent home to us.
Happy Holidays to all and an exciting 2012!
